Cuisinart CJE-1000 Die-Cast Juice Extractor Review
First of all, the Cuisinart CJE-1000 juicer may not be as well known as other juicers on the market but it has a lot to offer. It’s a centrifugal juicer that has a 1000 watt powerful motor with 5 speed settings. Lower settings are recommended for softer produce and higher settings are best for harder produce.
A great bonus is that the appliance comes with a 2 liter pulp catcher and 1 liter juice jug. As a result, this enables you to make large amounts of juice in the one go with ease to save time.
The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is a trendy, stylish and attractive looking juicer. Made from stainless steel, making it stain and rust resistant. Even the cutting disk is stainless steel, ensuring this will last a long time. I especially love the fact that you can control the speed the juice comes out – this is a real plus! The lid of the juicer operates on a hinge, which is a very rare find but also super useful especially during cleaning as the lid can stay open without you needing to hold it.
Centrifugal juicers are sometimes negatively known for their ‘foamy’ juices but not the Cuisinart CJE-1000. It comes with an additional feature, a black ring beneath the filter bowl which is referred to as the ”foam management filter disk” and foam management it truly does, the juice comes out far less foamy than any other centrifugal juicer I have used.
The rubber nonslip feet at the bottom of the appliance keep it steady in place whilst it’s in operation and there is no excessive vibration.
Size – 15.3″ x 11.8″ x 19″
Weight – 14 lbs
Manufacturer – Cuisinart
Type – Centrifugal
Warranty – Generous 3 year warranty.
Large 3″ feed chute – No wasting time chopping fruits and vegetables to size. It easily fits whole oranges, pears, and apples into the chute without the need to chop – how’s that for saving time?
Easy to clean – Comes with a brush to clean cutting disc/strainer. All removable parts are Dishwasher safe.
Anti-drip sprout – Allows adjustment of the flow of liquid coming out, keeping you in full control at all times.
Minimum froth – The Foam Management Filter disk does a fantastic job at reducing the amount of foam that comes out with the juice. As a result, on the low setting, it’s literally zero foam!
Quieter – Does have some noise to it on the higher setting but still generally quieter than other centrifugal juicers on the market.
Easy assembly – Assembling the machine is straightforward and not time consuming even for the first time juicer.
BPA free – All plastic parts used are BPA free.
Impressive yield – Juice yield is very impressive. Especially when not pushed hard or fast with the food pusher, results tend to be a lot better.
Has many parts to remove when cleaning – although the parts are dishwasher safe and relatively quick and easy to clean, it’s important to note that there are a total of 9 parts that need to be removed and cleaned each time you juice.
Short power cord – The power cord is just over 3ft long, making it a bit annoying but can be easily solved with an extension cord if needed.
Works best with:
The adjustable settings make this appliance compatible with just about all fruits and vegetables. I have noticed that it does a great job with fruits and vegetables of a harder consistency on the high setting.
As this is a centrifugal juicer, it’s best to consume the juice as soon as possible. It can last in a glass jar in the fridge for a few hours before it starts to spoil.
Best suited for:
Beginner juicers looking for an affordable, entry level juicer, that has ease of use.
I rate the Cuisinart CJE-1000 9/10.
The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is a fantastic juicer that really does tick all the boxes for a juicer at a great price. Its powerful motor will have your juice ready in very little time. The fact it’s a lot quieter than most other juicers of its kind is definitely something to be happy about.
After all, who likes a noisy appliance? The fact you can have virtually foam free juice on the lower setting is an absolute dream for a centrifugal juicer.
I hope you have enjoyed this Cuisinart CJE-1000 juicer review.
